Saturday, February 26 the prestigious historic residence Castello Dal Pozzo, Oleggio Castle on Lake Maggiore, will open their doors for the first old for this exclusive event in 2011: the Carnival. An evening in advance, perhaps, compared to similar party in the region, but in line with the official start of celebrations for excellence, those of Venice.

The property was recently named as one of the purest expressions of Tudor Gothic architecture, typical of the Victorian era. It has a very compact appearance, from which there are two towers: the massive and the east and the small square and octagonal south-west.

Il Castello Dal Pozzo is situated in an impressive fleet of more than 24 hectares, made unique by the presence of species arborre of great botanical interest. If the exterior is a clear manifestation of the Anglo-Saxon style, the interior reproduce the typical architecture of the period: stained glass, wrought iron gates in total Scottish style, high reliefs embedded on the outer walls, badges and sculptures from various sources.
